The China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on December 9-11 in Beijing. The theme is “Ecological Civilization in Action: A Common Green Future for the New Era”. The meeting participants will approve the CCICED Phase VI Charter, discuss the Task Force on Green Transition Outlook 2020-2050, and formulate the policy recommendations that will be submitted to the Government of China.This year's AGM will have 7 open forums held: (1) Green Urbanization and Environmental Quality Improvement, (2) Global Ocean Governance and Eco-civilization, (3) Yangtze River Protection and River Basin Governance, (4) Business Roundtable on Innovation and Green Development, (5) Green Development Transformation in China and the World, (6) Clean Energy Strategy and Climate Change, and (7) Greening Belt and Road Initiative and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.A total of over 260 Chinese and International members, special advisors and observers will attend the AGM.
