Global Biodiversity: China to continue promoting Kunming-Montreal framework

  China's minister of ecology and environment Huang Runqiu says the country will continue to promote the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. The landmark agreement was adopted at the COP15 United Nations biodiversity conference last year with dozens of targets set to guide global action on nature protection through 2030. The goals include land and sea conservation and reduction in harmful subsidies.
  HUANG RUNQIU China's Minister of Environment and Ecology "We will strengthen research on key and difficult issues such as DSI, (Digital Sequence Information) and push the progress of various issues under the Convention (on Biological Diversity). We will use bilateral and multilateral exchanges for mutual discussion, and coordinate all parties to jointly promote the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework."
