The signing ceremony for the framework agreement on international communication cooperation between the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) and China Daily was held on February 27, Beijing. Witnessed by Mr. Zhao Yingmin, Vice Minister of Ecology and Environment, and Mr. Zhou Shuchun, Editor-in-chief of China Daily, the agreement was signed by Mr. Guo Jing, Director General of International Cooperation Department, MEE and Mr. Kang Bing, Deputy Editor-in-chief of China Daily.
At the signing ceremony, the two sides stressed the significance of Xi Jinping’s idea of ecological civilization development in the new era and called for greater efforts in strengthening capacity building in international communication to better communicate China’s achievements in green development. It is agreed to cooperate in news report, columns for events and overseas communications, and develop CCICED into as a globally inclusive, open, cooperative platform for international cooperation in environment and development, with a greater role in China’s ecological civilization and sustainable development.
