Greater Space of Development for Sharing Economy

Sharing economy is penetrating into our daily life as Didi, Bike Sharing and Airbnb is widely used among the public. As a new economic form born out of the mobile internet, sharing economy has increasing influence on economic and social development.

CCICED implemented a series of activities related to sharing economy, including the Sharing Economy and Green Development Forum held during the AGM, and a MOU signed with World Economic Forum (WEF) to promote sharing economy. The background paper of CCICED AGM, Sharing Economy: a New Economic Revolution Guided by the New Lifestyle, said that  it is expected that sharing economy will grow at an average rate of 40% in the coming five years, accounting 10% of GDP by 2020.

National Development and Reform Commission is now soliciting public opinions on Guides on Sharing Economy. The 2017 Government Work Report notes that measures will be taken to support and guide sharing economy, and improve the utilization efficiency of social resources to facilitate the public daily life. Sharing economy will have greater space of development in the future.
