CCICED held the first Secretariat-Chief Advisors joint working meeting on Jan 18th-19th, 2010. The meeting was co-chaired by CCICED Chief Advisors, Academician Mr. Shen Guofang and Dr. Hanson. The Head of the Supporting Team of Chief Advisors (CHAD), Mr. Ren Yong, CCICED Assistant Secretary General, Mr. Guo Jing, members of the Secretariat and CHAD, Task Force members and experts were present at the meeting. Representatives from the embassies and offices from Canada, Sweden, Norway, Australia, UK, EU, GTZ, WWF China and UNEP Beijing attended the meeting as observers.

　　The meeting reviewed the key progress of CCICED in 2009 and the work plan for 2010. Progress of the two on-going Task Forces, Task Force on Ecosystem Issues and Policy Options addressing Sustainable Development of China’s Ocean and Coast, and Task Force on Ecosystem Service and Management Strategy was also discussed. The arrangements of the 2010 Roundtable Meeting, AGM and policy studies were further discussed in detail at the meeting. Consensus regarding the steps forward was reached.
