Mr. Xu Qinghua, Director General of Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Enviornmental Protection, China and Deputy  Secretary General of CCICED heading a Chinese delegation, visited Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) Headquarters and met with Mr. Hau-sing Tse, Senior Vice President of CIDA on April 8, 2010. Views on relevant work of CCICED and preparation for CCICED Phase V were changed during the meeting.

　　The two parties discussed the overall work of CCICED in particular its work progress of CCICED Phase IV over the past three years and spoke highly of the activities and achievements of CCICED over the past 18 years. Both sides expressed their satisfaction on Sino-Canada cooperation under the framework of CCICED.

　　Views and suggestions on relevant issues for the establishment of CCICED Phase V (2012－2016) were shared. The Canadian side indicated their willingness of continuous support to the establishment of CCICED Phase V and keeping close communication and coopertation with the Chinese side in this regard so as to jointly progress relevant activities.
