Wu Hailong  Assistant Minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China

Mr. Wu, currently married and with a daughter, has studied at China's Beijing Foreign Studies University between 1974 to 1978.

He has worked in the MOFA;s Clerks Division (1978-1981); third secretary to the Chinese delegation at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (1981-1986); served as the third and second secretary of MOFA's International Division (1986-1988); served as the first and second secretary of the UN delegation (1988-1992); served as the first secretary and deputy director of MOFA's International Division (1992-1996); Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Isreal (1996-1999); Deputy director of MOFA's International Division (1999-2001).

MOFA also stationed Mr. Wu as the commissioner at the HKSAR commissioner office (2001-2004); stationed at the UN office in Vienna and other international organizations, an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and resident representative of UNIDO, also a resident representative of the International Atomic Energy Agency between 2004 to 2006; served as the director of MOFA's international division (2006-2009).
