According to the Vice Minister with Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China at the January 14th working conference about industrial energy saving and multi purpose utilization, China will direct great effort in energy saving, emission reduction and pollution control as cardinal measures in the process of industrial restructuring and conversion in 2010.

　　Concrete measures include the following: first, to develop an energy saving-oriented evaluation system; second, to formulate a guidance on energy saving and emission reduction for key industries; third, to promote the standard-reaching work among major energy-consumption sectors and last, to set up energy-saving management and accountability assessment systems for industries.
