The Spring Festival is approaching. On January 10, MEP Minister Zhou Shengxian accompanied the visiting group of Work Committee of Central Government Departments to see the retired official Mr. Qu Geping (former Administrator of National Environmental Protection Agency) and wished him happy Spring Festival.

　　Cold outside, but it is warm in the house. MEP Minister Zhou Shengxian came to the house of Mr. Qu Geping at about 9:00. Entering the room, Minister Zhou held firmly the hands of Qu Geping and said: "Mr. Qu, I wish you Happy Lunar New Year, good health, happy family and good luck!" Mr. Qu Geping was very happy and expressed his thanks.

　　Minister Zhou said, the Spring Festival is coming. I come to see you and wish you a happy Lunar New Year. I am very happy to see you in high spirit and good health. You have made great contribution to environmental protection cause of our country. You are senior leader in environmental protection field and a pioneer for exploration of new path to environmental protection. Thank you for your high attention and support to environmental protection undertaking over the past several decades. I hope that you keep on caring for and supporting to environmental protection cause of our country.

　　Mr. Qu geping expressed his thanks to Minister Zhou Shengxian. He said, I pay cl;ose attention to the development of environmental protection cause of our country. I am glad to see active progress in environmental protection work. This has something to do with strong leadership of MEP and sound work of all officials and workers in environmental protection agencies and institutions across the country. However, we should understand that current environmental situation is still grave; environmental protection is facing many new challenges. Doing well environmental protection work still need huge efforts. I wish new breakthroughs and leap frog in environmental protection cause.
